Today on campus there were cardboard boxes laying around on the grass. These weren't just normal boxes but instead had statistical facts on them about people that are homeless. One fact that stuck out was that 42% of homeless people are 5 and younger. Reading the different stats made me realize how lucky I am to be able to attend a college and to have a roof over my head. Once a year Fisher displays these cardboard boxes with different facts so people can see how fortunate they truly are, and how some people within their community are living on a day to day basis. After reading the facts I've realized that I want to give back to the community, and luckily Fisher offers many resources for community service.
