Hello Everyone,

This weekend my boyfriend came to visit me from back home (Albany area), and he really wanted to have an ultimate Rochester experience. He has been here a couple of times, but I have never really showed him all the cool things that Rochester has to offer. He had a lot of fun so I figured I would share my weekend with you, so you can hear about all the great things Rochester has to offer!

Our first stop was Fairport Hots for a garbage plate. Sounds disgusting, well it is definitely not for the faint of heart. Picture a summer barbecue: cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, baked beans, macaroni salad, etc., all thrown into a "to go box" and topped with some onions, ketchup, mustard, and meat sauce. There is not separation between the food items....it literally looks like a messy pile of garbage, but super good! You haven't lived in Rochester until you have had a garbage plate!

We also drove around downtown Rochester, it was really beautiful because all the streets were lined with holiday lights and big snowflake decorations. We drove past the historic Kodak theatre, and we also enjoyed seeing all the historic buildings, sites, and the sculptures and art that are spread out across the city. We ended the night at Spot Coffee, which is this giant throwback coffee shop with live performances. It is right on East Ave. so the streets are busy with people.

On Saturday we went shopping! ( My personal favorite!) We went to Waterloo Outlets, which are conveniently located about 45 minutes from Fisher. After a quick visit there, we went to Market Place mall, which is in Henrietta and there is tons of shopping and places to eat there. We also went to see a movie in Henrietta because they have a giant stadium seating movie theatre.

Overall, it was a great weekend! There is so much to do here, and I promise you will never be bored. Come check us out and see for yourself!

Talk to you soon,

Marissa
