Hello Everyone,
As the semester comes to a close one thing I am really making sure I have completed is my service hours for my First Generation Scholarship. The First Generation Scholarship is such an honor to have, and it is an awesome program. As the first one in my family to attend college, I strive very hard to achieve my goals and make sure I am setting very high standards for myself.
The First Generation program focuses on leadership development through a series of leadership classes and seminars throughout your four years at Fisher, as well as growing as a leader from various service events. First Gen’s are required to do a minimum of 30 hours of community service a semester and must complete their course work within their leadership classes. The program does have an application process, and is quite competitive, but so so so worth it! I cannot imagine my experience here at Fisher without the program, and I am so grateful I got to be a part of such an honorable group. Check it out! Applications are available now through early January!
Peace. Love. Fish.
Maris
