Monday, October 29

Yes, the weekends are over. But the fun and learning continues. Starting this Monday, it is going to be the Four Freedoms’ Week. If you don’t know what the Four Freedoms’ week is about, you should come and find out about it. For this event on Monday, the topic is going to be Surviving the Holocaust. We are going to have Sam Rind as the speaker, who is also a child survivor of the Holocaust. He was born near Lublin, Poland in 1937. His father was killed for the leather jacket on his back. He also witnessed his brother being killed in his mother’s arm by a Nazi guard. However, he and his mother were able to escape to the Ukrainian ghetto of Szmerinda. There are a lot more stories to be told by Rind himself. This event is going to be hosted in the Golisano Gateway Midlevel between 11:15am-12:15pm this Monday (Oct 29th). Come and learn about the part of history, and share what you learned with those who do not know about Holocaust.
